My name is Melissa. I’m a self-proclaimed horse girl from a small town in central Maine.

Horses have been a part of my life since day one. I began riding when I was 5 years old and haven’t looked back since. While spending time at the barn, I also developed a passion for photography that has developed from taking photos of my friends riding to a decade long career as a professional wedding photographer.

Company of Horses came to fruition in 2017 as a business idea to create custom horse stall signs. Now, those signs can be found in barns from the East Coast all the way to California, and everywhere in between. In 2024, I came up with the idea to merge my two passions - horses and creative design. Company of Horses has since evolved into a  full-scale media agency specializing in web design, marketing and photography for equestrian businesses.

In my personal life, I currently own two horses. Lace, a retired draft cross, and Oliver, a young OTTB.
